Possibility to defer my admission from W25/26 to S28

I hope you are well. My name is Amir, and I have applied to the M.A. program Intellectics: The Science of AI for the Winter 2025/26 semester at the University of Hamburg.

I am writing with an urgent request regarding the possibility of deferring my admission. Recent diplomatic developments have led to the temporary closure of Iranian embassies and severe disruptions to student‐visa processing through both VisaMetric and TLScontact. As a result, I anticipate that I will be unable to complete my visa application in time for the winter term.

If admitted, would the university kindly consider allowing me to defer my enrollment to the Summer 2026 semester? Flexibility on this point would ensure that I do not lose this valuable opportunity through circumstances beyond my control.
