I have completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science and Engineering, and I am very interested in pursuing the MSc Business Administration at University of Hamburg. I would like to kindly ask whether my academic background makes me eligible to apply for this program for the Winter 2026 intake.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can guide me regarding the eligibility requirements and any additional prerequisites I may need to fulfill before applying.
Thank you very much for your time and support. I look forward to your response.
Best regards,

Dear Pruthvik26,
1) It is important to understand that the individual departments, institutes and faculties of the University of Hamburg are responsible for the admission requirements, selection criteria and application procedure for their Master's programs.
Therefore, the admission requirements, the selection criteria, the required application documents and the practical steps in the application process differ depending on the specific Master's program you wish to apply for.
Please make sure that you have read the specific application information for the Master's program you wish to apply for: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/list-master.
The application information for the degree program "Betriebswirtschaft (Business Administration) M.Sc." for the current application period (winter semester 2025/26) can be found here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/onTEAM/studi ... ration.pdf.
Please note that this degree program has two separate tracks (English and German) with different admission requirements. So, it is important to understand the differences and decide for which track you want to apply.
We do not currently expect any significant changes to the application information for the next application period for the winter semester 2026/27 beginning on 1 May 2026.
However, we always publish an updated version of the application information at the start of each application period, so you must read the updated document before applying in case there have been any changes.
2) "for the Winter 2026 intake."
The application period for the winter semester of 2025/26 (beginning in October 2025) closed on 15 June 2025. Since 16 June 2025, it has not been possible to apply.
The next application cycle for this program starts on 1 May 2026.
Best wishes,
Thomas Walter
