I hope this message finds you well. I am interested in applying to the M.Sc. programme in Psychology, with a focus on Clinical Psychology, at the University of Hamburg and would like to ask a few questions regarding the programme and admission requirements.
Is the M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology offered in English, or is it only taught in German?
Are applicants from non-EU countries eligible to apply, and are there any additional requirements for international students?
Could you also provide information about the application deadlines and any specific admission criteria for this programme?
Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.
Hello cherry,
general information for international applicants for a master's degree can be found here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... aster.html
The special admission requirements for each master's program can be found in this link: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... itere.html
Please look carefully at the last slot 'Language'. Only the programs with 'EN' do not require German language skills (exemption: Business Administration). For all other courses you have to be proficient in German at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. information about the level of German language proficiency required and about the certificates accepted by Universität Hamburg is provided here: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... nisse.html
That is also the reason why the application information for Clinical Psychology is in German only.
Kind regards,

Thank you very much for your helpful response and for providing the links with detailed information. I truly appreciate your time and guidance.
While reviewing the website, I noticed that the Master's in Clinical Psychology program is listed as being offered in both German and English (GER/ENG). I wanted to ask whether this means the program is integrated — taught in both languages — or if there are separate study tracks in German and English.
Thank you again for your assistance.
Kind regards

Hello Cherry,
I assume you are referring to the Psychology Master, since Clinical Psychology is clearly markes a 'DT', which means: taught completely in German.
Even the Psychology Master is at least partly taught in German and therefore requires German language skills. There are no seperated language tracks.
