I am currently a Master's student enrolled at OTH Regensburg. I will soon be moving to Hamburg to conduct my Master's thesis at the CFEL-ATTO group. Since my primary enrollment remains at OTH Regensburg, could you please clarify my eligibility for student housing in Hamburg?
Specifically, I would like to know:
1. Am I eligible to apply for a dormitory room through the Studierendenwerk Hamburg as an external thesis student?
2. Is it necessary (or possible) for me to register as a visiting student (Zweithörer) or guest student at UHH to gain access to student housing services?
Any guidance you could provide on the application process or alternative resources for incoming thesis students would be greatly appreciated.
