Bearbeitet Transferring to study Medicine at a higher semester
Hello,

I am a 3rd year medical student from Ain Shams University in Egypt, and my university teaches using modules. I would like to know whether it would be possible to transfer here using my existing credit hours. 3rd year is the last pre-clinical phase, and clinical modules start at 4th year. I would like to know what the requirements are to successfully transfer and continue my education at your university, with the hopes of graduating and working in Germany. I do not know German at the moment but am willing to learn as much as needed.

I couldn't find a place to contact and ask this question other than this forum. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

Sincerely,
Islam
Re: Transferring to study Medicine at a higher semester
Hello Islam,

You may transfer to Universität Hamburg to pursue your Hauptstudium (advanced studies) if you have successful completed the first phase (Physikum) of your studies. The applicatioon is possible only to summer semester. The application period is between December 1 to January 15.

Because you previously studied abroad, you need to have your prior academic achievements from abroad recognized by the state examination office for the healing professions (Landesprüfungsamt für Medizin, Psychotherapie und Pharmazie) at https://www.brd.nrw.de/Themen/Gesundhei ... harmazie-9

Application advanced studies: https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... udium.html

Information about application can also be found at https://www.uni-hamburg.de/en/campuscen ... edizin.pdf
