I am interested in a long-term intensive German course at Universität Hamburg as preparation for future vocational or technical studies/training in Germany.
I would like to ask:
– whether your university offers intensive preparatory German courses for international applicants who are not yet enrolled in a degree program;
– whether admission to such a course can support a visa application under §16b AufenthG;
– and whether participants receive an official admission/enrolment document for visa purposes.

No, Uni Hamburg does not provide preparatory German courses for prospective students. For German courses offered by other institutions in Hamburg, please visit the Hamburg course platform WISY http://deutsch.kursportal.info/
For information on preparatoy German language courses offered at German universities, please check the language and short courses database of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studien ... splay=list

You may apply for a visa to attend an (intensive) language course, a *Studienkolleg*, or other study-preparatory measures.

A few days after the application deadline has been closed the applicants receive a confirmation letter about their application. This can be use for visa application.
After the enrollment at Uni Hamburg ist completed the prospective students will received an enrollment certificate.
