German language requirement for enrolment

Hello,
I have received an offer from your university to study Masters in Molecular sciences.
Just to confirm, do I need to a German language proficiency certificate for enrolment given that the course is also taught in English?
I already have my IELTS certificate for English proficiency.
I will appreciate your speedy response as the deadline to enroll is on 29 July 2026.

Hello,
I guess you are refering to "Molecular Plant Scienc M.Sc.", since this is in English.

German is not required.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
Just a follow up question, is there a reason why they would offer me an admission offer yet in my application I did not submit the German language proficiency test bearing in mind in the school website the course has been indicated that the language of instruction is Eng/Ger(This is for MSc Molecular life science.)

I guess, because in your application form you confirm that you have read the PDF with the admission requirements, it is implied that you know about the language requirement. The certificate has to be uploaded during enrollment, not the application process.

Is it possible for me to change courses at this stage to an English course if I meet the requirements?

No, the application period for the English program only ran until March 31, as you can see in the PDF. Thus, it is no longer possible to submit or change an application.
