Bearbeitet Inquiry regarding B1 English proficiency proof
Dear Admissions Team / Hi everyone,

I have received an admission offer for the Wirtschaftsmathematik B.Sc. program at the University of Hamburg and am currently preparing my documents for enrollment.

I would like to clarify if my secondary education background satisfies the B1 level English proficiency requirement for this program.

Here are my details:

I completed 4 years of high school in Hungary, which included continuous English language classes.

I took the Hungarian Secondary School Leaving Examination (Érettségi) at the Emelt (Advanced) level in English and achieved a score of 82%.

Could you please confirm:

Is the Érettségi Emelt English certificate (82%) recognized directly as proof of B1 English proficiency for enrollment?

Do I need to provide an official translation (into German or English) of the certificate, or additional proof from my high school confirming the years of English instruction?
